CONVENIENCE CENTER NOW OPEN

For those with smaller loads of garbage, debris, scrap metal, recycling and particularly loads of cardboard, the Salt River Landfill now has a convenience area for your waste. This lets you avoid the landfill cell and all the big commercial trucks.  Also, if you bring in only scrap metal, electronics (E-Waste) or recyclables, there is no charge for your waste.  If there is any garbage mixed in, the normal tipping fee does apply.

Accepted Wastes:  Solid waste (garbage), construction & demolition debris, yard or green waste, dirt, rocks, appliances. 

Prohibited Wastes:  Tires, paint, chemicals, used oil, PCB-containing waste, biomedical waste, lead-acid batteries, bulk liquids, and friable asbestos. 

Loads must be tarped or secured to prevent waste from falling out.  Untarped or unsecured loads will be charged a $10.00 fee in addition to disposal fees.
